About Us

Dave Singer is the owner of Peregrine Manufacturing, Inc., previously Altico and now the manufacturer of the Falkyn, Glide GT, Glide, and Triton harness and container systems. Dave is a mechanical engineer and master parachute rigger and is constantly designing, developing and building the best harness/containers we can. 

Dave has been in the parachute industry for over 30 years. In 1992, he started out as a US Army Special Operations Parachute Rigger. He quickly became involved in sport parachuting, when he made his first civilian jump in Kapowsin, WA a year later.

In 1998, Dave moved to southern California. He began working at Perris Valley Skydiving as a videographer/photographer while attending California State University majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Aided Design and Drafting. In 2003, he helped start up the US Navy Military Freefall School at Skydive San Diego. There, he served as a Master Parachute Rigger, Packing Instructor, and Oxygen Technician.

Dave joined the team at Sun Path Products in December of 2003 as a drafter/designer, and advanced to become the Director of Engineering.  Dave was the lead design element for the Javelin, Javelin Odyssey, Military Javelin and Accuracy Javelin during his 10 years with the company.   Dave also implemented the Skyhook (MARD) system into the Sun Path product lines.

Dave also spent some time working for Capewell-Aerial Systems in 2009 as a program manager. With responsibilities managing various aviation and parachute component manufacture as well as testing precision aerial delivery devices.

In addition, Dave completed 3 terms as the Chairman of the PIA Technical committee, and has been a member of the Rigging & Parachute Certification & Standards committees since 2004.
